Religion, Divorce & Marriage…

Although the vast majority of  Americans consider themselves religious, divorce rates have increased through the years despite the common assumption that faith should have a positive effect on marriage (and it does when it’s genuine versus just going through the motions).

Below you will find an infographic  I think you will find extremely interesting that was shared with me recently by our friends over at http://christiandegrees.net/marriage/

Of particular interest to me was the section at the bottom of the infographic giving common reasons for divorce. And although you might expect infidelity to lead the list it’s actually number three.

In case you didn’t know, I share a weekly tip with our Mad About Marriage subscribers. And in this short weekly tip, I cover simple ways couples can improve their marriage that deepen their commitment while reducing arguing and conflict. We also talk about emotional and physical infidelity. If this sounds of interest, I warmly invite you to sign-up over to your right at the top of the column (your privacy is important to us and we never rent or sell your information; and you may easily and quickly unsubscribe whenever you choose).

Thank you to our friends at Christian Degrees for sharing this infographic. If you’d like to read the article they’ve written that explains the info graphic in greater detail, click here: http://christiandegrees.net/marriage/
