Creative Ways to Say “I Love You”
When a couple is happily married, “I love yous” abound. In fact, many people use the phrase very casually such as at the end of phone conversations or when separating which causes the “L-word” to lose its intimacy. Thankfully, there are many creative ways to say I love you. In fact, every couple should love how to express love creatively for special occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays.
Different Ways to Say I Love You
Sticky notes
If saying “I love you” is beginning to get boring, why not write it down on a sticky note. You can simply write “I love you” or mix it up a little bit with other romantic phrases such as “hello gorgeous”, “you’re my world”, “can’t be without you” and so on. Leave the note in a place where you know your spouse will find it like the refrigerator door, bathroom mirror or kitchen table.
If you have a little more time on your hands, you can make a heart shaped collage with sticky notes and either write one romantic phrase across the collage or write an individual message on each note.
Love songs
Songs have always been one of the most creative ways to say I love you. If you can sing or play an instrument, this is an easy way for you to show your love. Grab your instrument, pick a love song and sing it to your partner. It can be a song that you know or one that you wrote yourself depending on how creative you are feeling. If you can’t sing or play an instrument, make a mix tape or CD of your favorite love songs or request a radio station to play your partner’s favorite love song. Just make sure he or she is listening when the song plays.
Write it in unusual places
Buying a love card for your spouse can be a bit too cliché. Why not be a bit more creative and write it down on a car window or a foggy bathroom mirror?
Also depending on your budget and how special the occasion is, you can rent a billboard or hire a sky writer to write a special message in the sky. This is perfect for special occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays and Valentine’s Day.
Romantic Meal
Did you know you can say I love you with food? You can have the food such as muffins, cookies or meatloaf made into a heart-shape if you like. Just make sure you get your spouse’s favorite food.
You can make the food yourself or order take-out, it doesn’t really matter. Serve the food on nice plates and create a romantic setting with candles and flowers. Lastly, throw in a couple of fortune cookies with personalized messages.
